25 Days of Xmas - Day 9 - Christmas Nail Colours

By 12:00 PM , , , , , , , , ,

Christmas is the best excuse to break out all your favourite Christmas toned polishes and Glitters. I was getting ready for a post later on with some nail art ideas for Christmas, so I went and raided my stash to find some of my favourite Christmas polishes. If any of these polishes are not available anymore, I have linked to some good dupes or similar colours. Having just looked at all the colours sat around me, I'm not going to lie, there is a lot of Glitter!!! Perfect right!

Gold Glitter:
I seemed to have amassed a fair amount of gold glitter polishes, but in my defense, they are all different. I think Gold looks perfect at Christmas either on it's own or as part of a nail art. It works great as an accent shade on one nail or as a topcoat wash. Here are my top gold tones:

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Gilded Lily and Starcrossed both £1.99 @ FragranceDirect.

Models Own in Bora Bora and Gold Finger (My all time favourite gold glitter!) both £4.99 @ Models Own.

OPI in Wonderous Star £5.95 @ NailPolishDirect.

Revlon in Sequins. This was a gift with purchase but Essie Multi Dimension Top Coat in Rock At The Top is a great dupe. £8.95 @ NailPolishDirect (This was on Fragrance Direct at £2.99 so keep an eye out for it!).

Maybelline in Knitted Gold £2.77 @ Amazon.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Glitter Gun £2.49 @ Amazon and Spark In The Dark. £0.99 @ FragranceDirect

Silver and White and All Things Nice:
I don't have a lot of Silver glitters which surprises me because I thought I would but I have some nice white based ones to make up for it. We shall have to rectify this!

Essie in Peak of Chic £2.99 @ FragranceDirect and Hors D'Oeuvres £8.95 @ NailPolishDirect.

BarryM Textured Effect in Lady £2.95 @ NailPolishDirect.

Sally Hansen Triple Shine in Pearly White. I can't find the exact one but there are many polishes very similar to this including this Model's Own one in Snowflakes. £4.99 @ ModelsOwnIt (This was on Fragrance Direct at £2.99 so keep an eye out for it!).

OPI in Serious Sparkle £5.95 @ NailPolishDirect. NOTE: This is exactly the same as the OPI polish Save Me from the Nicki Minaj collection just rebranded so that is why it is called that on the Nail Polish Direct site.

Copper and Bronze:
I would love more of these tones as well but I have two really good ones. (NOTE - After shooting the pics and writing this I happened to find that I actually had another two shades, if not more, that could have gone in here. You know you have a real problem with nail varnish when you don't know what you own!)

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Copper Penny £4.79 @ Amazon

OPI in Warm & Fozzie - This is a hard polish to get because it was from a Muppet's limited edition collection but both Butter London in Scuppered £12.00 @ NailPolishDirect and Sally Hansen in Chop Chop Copper £0.99 @ FragranceDirect are good dupes.

Frosty the Snowman:
These are two really nice frosty shades that would look great with a glitter on top:

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Wedding Glitters and Coat of Arms both £1.99 @ FragranceDirect.

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer:
As you know I'm not a fan of pillar box red shades but here are some red-ish shades that would looking stunning as part of an xmas nail art:

OPI in Excuse Moi!, You Only Live Twice and Casino Royale. All of these are discontinued sadly as they were part of Muppet and James Bond collections. But I have found some cracking dupes for all of them:

Excuse Moi! - China Glaze in Ugly Sweater Party £4.50 @ NailPolishDirect
You Only Live Twice - OPI in Red Fingers & Mistletoe £8.95 @ NailPolishDirect
Casino Royale - China Glaze in Purr-fect Plum £4.50 @ NailPolishDirect

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Fiesta - I can't seem to find this but OPI in Minnie Style is very very similar - £8.95 @ NailPolishDirect.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Rosey Shooter £2.49 @ Amazon

So there are some of my festival nail colour pics from my collection and I must say, a lot of them are now in my nail polish rack and are making it look extra festive. I would love to know you favourite holiday shades so ever leave me a link in the comments below or tweet me @prettyedu88.
